Introduction
Nziza literally is translated as “greatness hard efforts put into our days work”. NZIZA Jewellery RWANDA is aproject born in the communities of Kigali for the development of handmade craft makers and the community at large, through bringing together jewellery makers, Nzzi jewellery Rwanda started on 14th September 2009 and is a nonprofit making project. We are a platform for the exposure of our handmade products to markets locally and beyond regional borders. We are a small team of individuals coming together to better our lives through our products as handcraft makers.
NZIZA Jewellery RWANDA aims at achieving marketable ways and strategies for the products we produce as handmade craft makers; this has enabled us to transform our lives and community development.
Brief History
The platform is initiated by Innocent Nkurunziza and Emmanuel Nkuranga both visual artists based in Kigali. We wanted to use our efforts, expertise and credibility as artists to help our fellow residents from our community, by teaching them handcraft making to become self employed. This has given them an opportunity to fight poverty and improve their standards of living. This community employment initiative has become a daily source of income for its contributing members including group savings. Our membership is not discriminative of sex, religion, ethnicity or tribalism. As craft makers we are community residents.

The craft makers represented under Nziza Jewellery are community members coming together to support one another through individual empowerment. Using skilled handcraft makers we ensure you as a client is satisfied when you choose from our wide beautiful jewelleries and handmade crafts.
Nziza’s Vision
NZIZA Jewellery RWANDA was established to offer resources, materials, tools as well as support for our team of craft designers, who through craft making as community members have helped one another alleviate the extreme levels of household poverty, common in many African societies today. By finding potential buyers for our products as combined craft makers we support our lives, and our dependants. Craft making and designing sessions for our members are also in place. These workshops are aimed at encouraging fellow community residents to use their free time and learn income generating activities under the NZIZA Jewellery RWANDA platform.
We are currently 14members working part-time, together as an umbrella body to find ways of enriching our welfare through community employment.
